Happy Veterans’ Day

flagImage2As my friends and acquaintances may know, I am a veteran and I am proud to have served my country.  I was on active duty for almost 6 years and did a couple years reserve duty as well.  I had one heck of an adventure while I was in the Navy, so the tagline is true.  I also got the opportunity to travel to places I might never have had the opportunity to, had I not been in the service.  My favorite place of all was Japan, it was amazing and the people were great to us when I was there.  I really had a lot of fun when I was serving, and I also grew up – a lot.  There were good times and bad, but as the saying goes, “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”.  And that is so true.

I just want to say to all veterans and soldiers currently serving, thank you for your service and the sacrifices you made and are continuing to make.  And if any active duty personnel find there way to my humble site, send a shout out.

To all our fallen soldiers, our heroes, I hope somehow you know how proud you have made those of us you have served, and how grateful so many of us are for the ultimate sacrifice you made.  May God bless you and honor you wherever you are.
